Portland Trail Blazers’ Pre-Draft Workout List Grows

At least 12 players have been named as the Trail Blazers explore potential talent for the upcoming draft.

The Portland Trail Blazers will host pre-draft workouts with a number of prospects, including three players from the University of Oregon— Dillon Brooks, Tyler Dorsey, and Jordan Bell. Several other names have been floated as well, by Jason Quick of CSN NW and various other media members.

  • Sindarius Thornwell (SG) - South Carolina
  • Terrance Ferguson (SG) - Adelaide

Briscoe is a 6’3”, 218-pound guard out of the University of Kentucky. In 30.3 minutes per game last season, he averaged 12.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game. His most impressive measurement is his 6’9.5” wingspan that he showed off at the NBA Draft Combine. According to draftexpress.com, Briscoe is ranked as the No. 80 overall prospect in the draft.

Trimble is also a 6’3” guard, weighing in at 192 pounds and is from the University of Maryland. In 32.6 minutes per game last season, he averaged 16.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. According to draftexpress.com, Trimble is ranked as the No. 92 overall prospect in the draft.

Evans is a 6’1”, 177-pound point guard out of Oklahoma State University. In 29.3 minutes per game, Evans averaged 19.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game. According to draftexpress.com, Trimble is ranked as the No. 27 overall prospect in the draft.

Jackson is a 6’8”, 193-pound forward out of the University of North Carolina. Last season with the Tar Heels, he averaged 18.3 points and 4.7 rebounds in 32.0 minutes per game. According to draftexpress.com, Jackson is ranked as the No. 13 overall prospect in the draft.

Patton is a 7’0”, 226-pound center out of Creighton University. Last year with the Blue Jays, he averaged 12.9 points and 6.2 rebounds in 25.3 minutes per game. He is ranked as the No. 21 prospect in the draft, according to draftexpress.com.

Collins is a 6’10”, 225-pound power forward out of Wake Forest University. In his sophomore campaign with the Demon Deacons, he averaged 19.2 points and 9.8 rebounds in 26.6 minutes per game. He is the No. 20 ranked prospect in the draft, according to draftexpress.com.

Rabb is 6’10”, 215-pound center out of the University of California. Last year with the Golden Bears, he averaged 14.0 points and 10.5 rebound in 32.6 minutes per game. He is ranked at No. 25, according to draftexpress.com.

Thornwell is a 6’5”, 214-pound shooting guard out of the University of South Carolina. Under Frank Martin at USC, he averaged 21.4 points and 7.1 rebounds per game, as a senior. He was named the SEC Player of the Year last season as well. He is ranked No. 61 in this draft by draftexpress.com.

Ferguson is a 6’7” shooting guard from Oklahoma, though he played for the Adelaide 36ers of the NBL in Australia. In 15.2 minutes per game last season, he averaged 4.6 points and 1.2 rebounds. He is ranked as the second-best international prospect in the draft, by draftexpress.com .

The Blazers have three picks (15, 20, 26) in the draft, which will be held on June 22 at 4:00 p.m. PDT and can be watched on ESPN.
