Paul George has been traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to Ramon Shelburne of ESPN.com. George had been the center of trade rumors throughout the summer of 2017 after informing the Indiana Pacers that he would not return upon the completion of his current contract, which has a single year remaining followed by a player option.

George averaged 23.7 points and 6.6 rebounds per game last season for the Pacers.
Victor Oladipo averaged 15.9 points and 4.3 rebounds for the Thunder. Rookie Domantas Sabonis averaged 5.9 points and 3.6 rebounds.
George is scheduled to make $19.5 million next year. Oladipo will make $21 million, Sabonis $2.5 million.
The Los Angeles Lakers have been rumored as George’s final destination should he opt out of the final year of his deal. The Thunder will hope that a season playing alongside reigning MVP Russell Westbrook changes his mind.
Portland Trail Blazers CJ McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic were amused by the news:

McCollum had, at one point, listed George as a player he would like to see the Trail Blazers pursue this summer.
