According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, the Portland Trail Blazers have traded point guard Tim Quarterman to the Houston Rockets in exchange for money.
Portland has traded Tim Quarterman to the Houston Rockets for cash, league source tells @TheVertical.
— Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojVerticalNBA) June 28, 2017
Quarterman was under contract for $1.3 million in 2017-18 (nonguaranteed) with a qualifying offer of $1.7 million in 2018-19.
By trading Quarterman, the Trail Blazers clear a little space, three days ahead of free agency.
Quarterman’s absence should ultimately not affect the Trail Blazers, as he played only 80 total minutes last season, though it does slightly change the makeup of Portland’s Summer League roster.
