Social media has brought us an image of a potentially slimmer Jusuf Nurkic, as he gets to work over the summer.
The Portland center posted the picture of himself with two friends during a training session back in Bosnia on June 9.

Another photo posted a week earlier on June 2, with Croatian basketball player Luka Babic, also shows a potentially more streamline Bosnian beast.

And Sunday morning, he discussed the solution to having difficulties when running.

After arriving in Portland prior to the 2017 trade deadline, Nurkic recorded statistics of 15.2 points, 10.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.9 blocks and 1.3 steals before suffering a fibular fracture—returning for just one playoff game.
In his exit interview on April 25, Nurkic indicated that getting in better shape was a priority for him this offseason:
What’s your summer look like? What are you doing this summer?
A lot of work. I want to be better and I want to be in the best shape of my life again and try to be as healthy as possible, so I’m going to do my part and the rest are going to follow.
