Portland Trail Blazers Reveal New Logo

Update (1:45pm): The Blazers have officially announced the new logo, and have released their new web page for the history of their logo.

Casey Holdahl noted on Twitter that the planned announcement date for the logo was the night of the 2017 NBA Draft. But they announced it today after it leaked. Here is a before-and-after view of the logo change.

Earlier Update: The Blazers’ official Twitter account Avi has now been changed to the new logo. Also, the Blazers’ official Twitter account Avi has been changed back for the time being, but we have included a screenshot of their page with the new logo:

The Portland Trail Blazers’ new logo has apparently leaked on the NBA Store, according to Conrad Burry of SportsLogos.net. The logo features the classic pinwheel in a modern style with bold lines, as seen in the screenshots below.

Earlier today, the NBA Store uploaded a set of new Fanatics-branded ash-colored “Primary Logo” t-shirts, and among the set of shirts was a shirt featuring the new Portland Trail Blazers logo. A keen observer also noticed the inclusion of a shirt with the new Detroit Pistons primary logo, but that shirt has since been taken down from the website.
