Portland Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic (fibular fracture) has not seen game action since March 30, but has progressed to carefully monitored work in practice, as well as brief pregame workouts. Jason Quick of CSNNW reports that Nurkic had X-rays done on Wednesday and is now “waiting for the green light” before advancing further toward a potential post-season return.
Jusuf Nurkic said he is "waiting for the green light" after getting X-ray earlier Wednesday. Called 25-minute pregame workout "progress."

In 20 games with the Trail Blazers this season, Nurkic had a major impact, averaging a career-high 15.2 points and 10.4 per game while the team enjoyed a late 14-6 push into the playoff picture. His availability or lack thereof could change the complexion of Portland’s upcoming first round series with the Golden State Warriors.
