Win Tickets to Blazers vs. Sixers

A lucky Blazer’s Edge Reader and a guest will get to join us for Blazer’s Edge Night.

As most of you know, the Portland Trail Blazers’ next home game, Thursday March 9th vs. the Philadelphia 76’ers, is Blazer’s Edge Night. Our readers have pooled together to send 2000 underprivileged children and their chaperons to see the Blazers play. It’s going to be quite an event!

The Blazer’s Edge staff will be in attendance that night and we’d like to give a lucky winner and their guest a chance to join us in the staff seats. (To be clear: These are tickets I have purchased myself, not tickets that were donated for kids.) You’ll be able to hobnob with your favorite writers, watch the Blazers, hear the cheering masses around us, and we might even have some Blazer’s Edge swag for you. If you’d like to win a pair of tickets, read on!

The Rules

In order to qualify, the following must apply to you:

  • You must live in the Portland area and be able to attend the game on Thursday.
  • You must be able to meet at the Moda Center Will Call no later than 6:20 on Thursday night.
  • You cannot be affiliated or associated in any official capacity with Blazer’s Edge or its staff.

The Contest

It’s hard to come up with a contest that can’t be solved in 6 seconds by Google, but I think we’ve done it. Here’s how it works.

The list below contains 25 Trail Blazers players, past or present. Some are famous, some are obscure. Each line provides a clue to a particular player. The player’s name fits exactly in the middle of the clue. When the player’s name is placed in between the clue words, they all link.

Example Clue: Uncle Knife

Solution: Uncle Sam Bowie Knife

Uncle Sam — Sam Bowie — Bowie Knife... Get it?

The first reader to identify all the Blazers players on this list correctly in the comment section will be the winner. In the event nobody gets all of them correct, the reader who identifies the most will win, ties being resolved in favor of the earliest reponse.
