Gameday Thread: Brooklyn Nets at Portland Trail Blazers

Finally, a game the Blazers should win. The woebegone Brooklyn Nets arrive for a 7:00pm game at Moda Center. If you have an antenna, it’s a good night for you, because this game is airing on KGW channel 8 locally.

Injuries: Festus Ezeli is likely done for the season. Evan Turner had his cast removed, but is still out. And Ed Davis is done for the season to get surgery on his torn labrum. For the Nets, Justin Hamilton is out.

And now a musical interlude from a New Jersey legend. No, not that one. Thirty years ago this weekend, Bon Jovi released one of the most well-known power ballads in music history.

A few years later, Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora stopped by the MTV Music Video Awards, and decided to give this now-three-year-old song the acoustic treatment. It became so successful that MTV eventually used it as a springboard for a hit show: MTV Unplugged.
