The NBA sets ‘em up, and the Portland Trail Blazers keep knocking ‘em down. Fresh off an overtime loss to the Los Angeles Lakers 21 hours earlier, the Minnesota Timberwolves looked sluggish all night, posing no match for the surging Blazers’ offense in a 112-100 victory. Portland’s lead grew in each quarter, from 6 after the first, 13 after the second, and 19 after the third. The Wolves attempted one last run in the fourth quarter, but the effort was far too late, and the crowd enjoyed an easy victory.
The Blazers were led by their new “big three”, CJ McCollum (32 points), Damian Lillard (21 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists), and Jusuf Nurkic (14 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists).
