The Portland Trail Blazers and San Antonio Spurs tip off tonight, in a possible first-round playoff preview. Portland is making a late-season surge for the eighth seed, and San Antonio has taken advantage of Kevin Durant’s injury to battle the Warriors for the first seed.

Injuries: Evan Turner, Festus Ezeli and Ed Davis are out. For the Spurs, LaMarcus Aldridge is is active tonight after a recent heart incident. Tony Parker is out.

San Antonio is not exactly a hotbed of popular music. But hey. an eclectic mix of famous musicians are celebrating birthdays today! Here are a few of them.
