Reshaping Portland’s Offense: The Nurkic Effect

Jusuf Nurkic is only 10 games into his tenure with the Trail Blazers, but his positive presence is already too large to ignore. Dane Carbaugh of NBC Sports went to the film to explain the impact that Portland’s new center is having on head coach Terry Stotts’ offense.

Carbaugh highlights the statistical improvements that Nurkic has made since arriving in the Northwest. On top of the improvements in the boxscore, the video also includes examples of how the big fella is influencing the game for those around him.

Nurkic’s impact on Portland’s record is obvious (6-4 since his arrival), but this analysis provides a superb look at what opposing teams are struggling to deal with when they cross paths with the new-look Blazers.
