Gameday Thread: Portland Trail Blazers at Detroit Pistons

The Blazers try to complete an above-.500 road trip by beating the Detroit Pistons. An early 4:30 (Pacific time) game, Portland will attempt to show their improved defense, and sic Juduf Nurkic on the Pistons’ Andre Drummond.

Injuries: Evan Turner is getting his cast off soon, but is still out. Nurkic is likely to play after having two teeth knocked out against the Raptors. For the Pistons, Beno Udrih is day-to-day.

For a musical interlude, how about a little Smokey Robinson? The Motown legend racked up hits over decades, both solo and with his band The Miracles.

By the late ‘80s, the music industry had moved on. But he signed with the actual Motown record label, and mounted one last comeback with two huge hits.
