The Portland Trail Blazers fought from behind all night against the Orlando Magic, until Damian Lillard took over late by scoring 17 points in the fourth quarter. With a little magic not often seen this season, the whole team joined in, pushing the Blazers to a big 112-103 win to start the stretch run. The game was sealed with the rarely-seen CJ McCollum dunk.
Besides Lillard, the Blazers were also led by McCollum (22 points), Jusuf Nurkic (12 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists in his first start), Moe Harkless, and Shabazz Napier off the bench.
Game two of this road trip is Sunday afternoon, a 3:00 pm (Pacific) match-up with the Toronto Raptors. Stay tuned this evening for more coverage of tonight’s game from Eric Griffith.
