UPDATE: WE DID IT!!! Thank you to everyone who helped. In less than an hour we got all the missing tickets donated and, ummm...I think even a few extra. I will inform all of our organizations that yes, they really are going and then some! THANK YOU SO MUCH, Blazer’s Edge! You are amazing. I mean this from the bottom of my heart. There is no other group of people I’d like to be around to do this. You...are...incredible.

—-----------------------------------—
As most of you know, we are scheduled to send 2000 underprivileged youth and children to see the Portland Trail Blazers face the Philadelphia Sixers on March 9th. We have all the organizations and participants lined up, but with two weeks to go, we’ve had a breakdown.
This year part of the process was a charity donation pledge for $1000, accounting for 110 tickets. That donation came in late and it turns out it’s only for $500. That leaves us two weeks out and 50 tickets short for kids already slated to go. It’s not as simple as just sending slightly fewer participants; if we don’t make up those tickets we’ll have to tell 50 people who thought they were going that they can’t.
Blazer’s Edge Readers, can you rally to help us? The dangling tickets are only $9 each. Can any of you pick up 1 or 2 or even 10?
Tickets can be purchased through the Blazers’ normal online ordering system by going to their website through this link: http://www.rosequarter.com/blazersedge/
Use the order code: BLAZERSEDGE
Tickets will be donated automatically if purchased in this way.
If you don’t wish to order online, you may call ticket rep Alec Botts at 503.963.3926.
Please think about it and help out if you can.
