Update: Joe Freeman of The Oregonian reports that Aminu will not play versus the Jazz.

Al-Farouq Aminu is unlikely to play in Wednesday’s tilt against the Utah Jazz, according to Trail Blazers digital reporter Casey Holdahl. Aminu suffered a left knee sprain in the fourth quarter of Monday’s matchup with the Atlanta Hawks, when Kent Bazemore accidentally rolled up on him.

Aminu remained in the game out of necessity, but was visibly favoring his injured leg. Without Aminu in the lineup, the Trail Blazers will once again be shorthanded in the frontcourt, though new acquisition Jusuf Nurkic is expected to be active at center off the bench.
Fortunately, the NBA All-Star break provides an extended rest period, and the Trail Blazers will not play again until February 23 against the Orlando Magic.
