In eight games with the Bulls so far, Quarterman averaged 11.0 points and 7.6 assists per game, but shot only 32.4 percent from the field. Layman was more productive, scoring 18.3 points per game and shooting a better percentage overall, but struggled from distance, making just 12-49 three-point attempts (24.5 percent).
Layman, who saw his minutes increase while forward Al-Farouq Aminu was injured earlier in the season, may experience another increase in usage while teammate Evan Turner is sidelined with a broken hand.
