Another home game, another road team without its star, another loss. Bradley Beal’s 51 points ignites the Wizards past the Blazers 106-92.

The Blazers were led by Damian Lillard with 30 points, 9 assists and 8 rebounds. Jusuf Nurkic had 15 points and 9 rebounds before leaving with an injury.

The Washington Wizards were led by Bradley Beal with 51 points.

Recap

NBA No-Thanks Pass - The Blazers’ offense continues to be as exciting as watching a grade-school rendition of an episode of Fishing the West. Portland scored a whopping 37 points in the first half to the Wizards’ 51. The Blazers’ offense got inspired for a spell in the second half, but when it came time to make that big fourth quarter push, they faded away again.

Turnover City - The Blazers have a habit of shooting themselves in the foot before limping out to a fight. The Wizards had 12 steals in the first half off 11 Blazers’ turnovers. It didn’t get much better in second half. Maybe someone should drop this off in the Wizards’ locker room.

[You know you’re wondering what that’s about. Here’s KATU’s story.]

Injuries - Maurice Harkless and Jusuf Nurkic both went down with injuries tonight. See more about Nurkic here.

Bradley Beal - Beal lit up Peacock Lane, tonight. He put on a show for the Moda Center crowd when the home team failed to do so.

Statement Jerseys - Maybe we should retire those jerseys for good.

This was one of the better offensive plays for the Blazers in the first half.

Or maybe it was this one...

The foul that wasn’t.
