Bryce Miller of the San Diego Union-Tribune is reporting that legendary television broadcaster Dick Enberg has died.
Incredibly sad news: Dick Enberg’s wife Barbara just told me Dick died his morning in LaJolla. Thinks it was a heart attack. Such a legend. Such a gentleman. There are no words.

Enberg is probably best known in Portland Trail Blazers circles for his play-by-play work during NBA on NBC broadcasts from 1990-1999. The Trail Blazers went on extended runs in the 90’s, reaching the NBA Finals in 1990 and 1992, the Western Conference Finals in 1991 and 1999. Enberg’s catchphrase, “Oh My...” became familiar to Portland fans during the height of the team’s excellence. Enberg also called NCAA basketball and football games, plus professional tennis and several other sports.
Enberg was 82 when he passed.
