Evan Turner has had a strange tenure as a member of the Portland Trail Blazers, but it’ll never get weirder than this. Local television station KGW is reporting that a large truck crashed into the swimming pool of his southwest Portland home this morning.
Portland Fire and Rescue said the driver was navigating a hairpin turn. Instead of turning, the truck drove straight, crashed over an embankment and stright into the pool.
Unfortunately the driver of the truck sustained serious injuries from the crash and exposure to cold water. KGW reports that he has been taken to Oregon Health and Science University Medical Center.
Reed Andrews of KATU television followed up with this tweet about a chef in Turner’s employ who helped the driver in the aftermath.
