In the City of Roses for an afternoon tilt, the Portland Trail Blazers had few problems with the Los Angeles Clippers. After an early deficit, the Blazers’ Big Three took over. Portland went on a second-quarter run, eventually busting the game open in the second half, winning 134-106. In just 26 minutes, Damian Lillard scored 35 points, actively quieting the Staples Center crowd along the way.
The Blazers were led by Lillard’s 35. CJ McCollum added 20 points, Moe Harkless went 6-for-6 to score 16, and Jusuf Nurkic added 13 points and 9 rebounds before fouling out. Evan Turner added 6 points and 8 assists off the bench.
