Trail Blazers guard CJ Wilcox underwent right knee surgery Monday and will miss the next 6-8 weeks, according to a press release from the team:
Portland Trail Blazers two-way guard CJ Wilcox underwent successful arthroscopy on his right knee today, it was announced by president of basketball operations Neil Olshey.
The procedure was performed by Dr. Evan Ellis at Southwest Washington Surgery Center.
The Trail Blazers signed Wilcox to a two-way contract on August 9. He is expected to miss 6-8 weeks.
Wilcox’s two-way deal allows him to spend time with the team as well as a G-League team – although Portland lacks its own affiliate currently.
The guard out of the University of Washington has career averages of two points, 0.5 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game in 66 total games. He last suited up for the Orlando Magic.
