Portland Trail Blazers guard Shabazz Napier continues to deal with a quad injury and will sit out the team’s first preseason game against the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night, per Trail Blazers digital reporter Casey Holdahl.

Napier, a 2014 first-round draft pick, was acquired by the Trail Blazers via trade prior to the 2016-17 NBA season. He played in 53 games, averaging 4.1 points per contest in limited minutes off the bench. This season, Napier will once again play behind Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum at point guard.
