Jeremy Lin is done for the season after rupturing a patellar tendon in the Brooklyn Nets’ 131-140 loss to the Indiana Pacers last night. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski had the report, which has been confirmed by the Nets.

Lin joins Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward, who suffered a brutal ankle injury, and Chicago Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic, victim of an intra-squad practice fight, on the list of recognizable players suffering serious setbacks in the first days of the new NBA season.

Lin averaged 14.5 points and 5.1 assists in 36 games for the Nets last year.
