This is the final week to donate tickets to send underprivileged youth and children to see Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers play the Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76’ers on March 9th. We have several hundred kids lined up to go already and when all is said and done, the number will reach into the thousands. But they won’t get to go unless we Blazer’s Edge readers provide the means. We want to say “Yes!” to teachers and classrooms from low-income areas, to coaches and sports teams, to families and after-school clubs. Every ticket you donate sends a child who otherwise wouldn’t get to go.
TO DONATE DIRECTLY, READ HERE
If you prefer to donate the old-fashioned way, the info is right here. Whether you do it with socks or without, PLEASE help us out.
Tickets can be purchased online by going to the Blazers’ website through this link: http://www.rosequarter.com/blazersedge/
Use the order code: BLAZERSEDGE
Tickets are automatically donated if you purchase them in this manner.
If you don’t wish to order online, you may call ticket rep Alec Botts at 503.963.3926.
IF YOU WANT SWAG AS YOU DONATE, READ HERE
In the spirit of the event, our friends at HoopSwagg.com have done something incredible. They’ve created Blazer’s Edge Socks. No, not Portland Trail Blazers socks, actual BLAZER’S EDGE SOCKS. Now you can rep your favorite website under your kicks and be one of the cool kids! But there’s more than that.
FOR EVERY PAIR OF SOCKS YOU BUY, HOOPSWAGG.COM WILL DONATE A TICKET.
WHAT’S MORE, THE BLAZER’S EDGE STAFF WILL MATCH THE FIRST 50 PURCHASES, SOCK FOR SOCK AND TICKET FOR TICKET. We’ll give away those extra socks to readers.
So here’s what you’re going to get with your purchase:
- A pair of socks for you
- A ticket donated to kids
- A second pair of socks given away to fellow readers
- A second ticket donated to kids
That could not be cooler!
Head over there and check out our site socks, buy a pair or two, and help kids see the Blazers all at the same time!
If you work with underprivileged children or youth, the process for requesting tickets is greatly simplified this year. Email me at blazersub@gmail.com for details. We’re eager to help you see a game!
