Noah Vonleh underwent a successful procedure to remove a bone fragment from his right thigh on Wednesday morning. The Trail Blazers forward is expected to be sidelined for just 3-4 weeks as he recovers. He should be back to 100 percent around the start of training camp in late September.
Vonleh averaged 3.6 points and 3.9 rebounds per game during the 2015-16 NBA season, and 12.0 points and 8.8 rebounds during 2016 Las Vegas Summer League. Once healthy, he is expected to fight for a role in the Trail Blazers’ crowded frontcourt.
