It would seem that the Portland Trail Blazers are close to choosing a partner for freshly hired play-by-play broadcaster Kevin Calabro, and it is going to be someone with whom we are familiar, according to Trail Blazers digital reporter Casey Hodahl. Holdahl joined Erik Gundersen on the Locked on Blazers podcast to discuss a variety of things—the broadcast update among them. You can listen to the full podcast below.

Gundersen: Are the Blazers close—you talked about the broadcasting—are they close to getting a color analyst for the TV side?

Holdahl: I have heard that they are very close, yes.

Gundersen: Okay. Any hints?

Holdahl: You will at least know this person. It is not someone who you’ve never heard of before, let’s put it that way.

Gundersen: Okay, so it’s not going to be a guy who you’re like "Who is this dude?" No one’s going to be doing that?

Holdahl: No. People around here should know this person.

Holdahl did note that these things are often fluid, so he cannot say with 100 percent certainty that his latest information is up to date, but he believes it to be correct. Who do you think the Blazers will hire? Leave your ideas in the comment section below.
