Travis Outlaw, 31, has been arrested after a grand jury indicted him on a felony marijuana charge in Starkville, Mississippi, according to local newspaper The Dispatch. The indictment (PDF) states that on July 15, Outlaw "did unlawfully, willfully, feloniously, knowingly and intentionally possess a controlled substance, marijuana, in an amount greater than 250 grams but less than 1 kilogram." This is the equivalent of an amount between approximately 9 ounces and 2.2 pounds.
He reportedly turned himself in to authorities, and was released after posting a $10,000 bond.
Outlaw was drafted by Portland with the 23rd pick in the 2003 draft. He was traded, along with Steve Blake, to the Clippers in 2010 for Marcus Camby.
He recorded his best numbers with Portland in 2007-08 topping 13.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists.
