The Portland Trail Blazers have signed undrafted guard Tim Quarterman to a partially guaranteed contract, in preparation for their upcoming training camp, according to The Vertical's Shams Charania. Quarterman, 21, is a Louisiana State University product. He averaged 11.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in his final season with the Tigers, playing alongside 2016 No. 1 draft pick Ben Simmons of the Philadelphia 76ers.

Quarterman will be the first of a few roster-filling moves as the Blazers seek out large bodies to put on their practice court. He will not play for them during the regular season, but a training camp deal indicates that his skills are of a certain caliber that may interest other NBA teams at some point in the future. Standing 6’6" tall, the oversized point guard has a frame that some thought would earn him an NBA Draft selection.
