Are the Portland Trail Blazers Going to Trade for a Big Man?

The Portland Trail Blazers' frontcourt is set. For now. Neil Olshey is not going to trick one of the dumber GMs in the league into trading him a starting player for a bunch of expired Chalupa coupons.

Let it go.

The 2016 NBA Free Agency frenzy is mostly over. That has left Portland fans asking whether the glut of specialty, flawed, and developing frontcourt players could be swapped for something to help them contend.

Not only do the Blazers not have a move to make, they don't have much of a reason to.

The Blazers have to see how the roster they were able to put together this offseason can play together. Opportunities may arise over the course of the season, as other teams will be testing chemistry all year. If it doesn't work out for them, maybe we are talking in different terms ... come February.

Maybe Blake Griffin's knee problem is worse than it seems. Maybe the Clippers fall apart, keep Chris Paul, and suddenly Griffin or DeAndre Jordan becomes available.

Until then, Olshey will be waiting to see how his current roster can play -- with Chalupa coupons in hand -- heading into 2016-17.
