Biyombo averaged 5 points, 8 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks for the Toronto Raptors last season, but shined in place of the injured Jonas Valanciunas during the NBA playoffs. He set the Raptors' single-game franchise rebounding record with 26 in Game 3 against the Cleveland Cavaliers, and averaged 6 points, 10 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks for the series.
According to ESPN's Marc Stein, Biyombo's contract is likely to approach $70 million over four years. There is some speculation that Biyombo's signing may give the Magic incentive to trade center Nikola Vucevic.
