Nicolas Batum has agreed to re-sign with the Charlotte Hornets for a 5-years and $120 million, according to Shams Charania of TheVertical.

While the $120 million figure may sound large, it's actually below the max offer that Batum could've received. Batum did negotiate a player option into the fifth year of the contract. He will be 31 years old at the time, so the option allow him to pick up one more significant payday before he retires.

Last season in Charlotte Batum put up career highs in points (14.9 PPG) and assists (5.8 APG) and his second best average rebounding the ball (6.1 RPG) while sporting the highest usage rate of his career (21.4%). His statistical highs in Portland: 14.3 PPG (12-12), 5.1 APG (13-14),  7.5 RPG (13-14) and Usage Rate 20.5% (11-12).
