Portland Trail Blazers forward Maurice Harkless is evidently excited to be courted in free agency. The restricted free agent (RFA) met with his team and retweeted the following photo on Twitter:
It is pretty clear that, as expected, he is unlikely to take the Trail Blazers' qualifying offer. After a bumpy start to his career in Orlando, and a strong finish to his season in Portland, Harkless has earned the right to attract interest from the highest bidder.
Of course, since he is an RFA, the Trail Blazers can match any offer he receives. However, with other free agents to prioritize, it is hard to imagine them matching an offer sheet if another team is willing to purchase his services at a premium. His future in Portland remains to be determined.
