Despite many articles linking Portland as a possible destination for Dwight Howard in NBA Free Agency, the Blazers now seem to be eliminated from consideration. Dallas reporter Eddie Sefko reports that Howard has narrowed his choices, and both remaining options are in the Eastern Conference.

With no hints that Al Horford has plans to meet with Portland, and this morning's report that the Blazers are not interested in Ian Mahinmi, the available big men are already starting to dwindle before free agency has opened. The biggest name on the market, Miami's Hassan Whiteside, is reportedly meeting with the Blazers, as well as the Mavs and Heat.
