Former Portland Trail Blazers point guard Sergio Rodriguez may be eyeing a return to the NBA. According to Eurohoops.net and Onda Cero radio via Radioestadio, Rodriguez may be terminating his contract with Real Madrid and joining an American club.
Despite having a contract with Real Madrid until the summer of 2018, the 30 years old Rodriguez is probing the NBA market, as Eurohoops sources can confirm. However, according to the "Radio Estadio" show of the "Onda Cero" Spanish radio station, Rodriguez already informed Real Madrid that he is leaving for the NBA.

Rodriguez spent four seasons in the NBA between 2006-2010, three of them with the Trail Blazers. He averaged 4.3 points and 2.9 assists in 13.2 minutes per game for his NBA career. He has played for Real Madrid since departing the NBA, averaging 9.4 points and 4.3 assists in 19.7 minutes per game during his Spanish tenure.
