The Portland Trail Blazers and Golden State Warriors tip off Saturday evening in the Game 4 of the 2016 NBA Playoffs second round. The first two games were an exercise in futility for the Blazers, but they bounced back in the third.
Stephen Curry is officially listed as questionable for tonight's game. Reports state that the Warriors hope he can come off the bench in limited minutes.
Steve Kerr on @StephenCurry30: "If all goes well with his warm-up, then he’ll play tonight. And I’m anticipating it will go well."— kerry eggers (@kerryeggers) May 10, 2016
In the first game, the Blazers never challenged, as Golden State established a 10-point lead in the opening minutes and never looked back. Portland lost by 12, but only due to points in garbage time.
In the second game, the Blazers definitely challenged, taking a lead as large as 17 points. But Golden State picked up their game at both ends during the fourth quarter, demolishing the Blazers to take a 2-0 series lead.
The third time was the charm for the Blazers, who controlled most of the contest and pulled away for a solid victory. They're still behind 2-1 in the best-of-seven series.
However, the Blazers have another game tonight in Moda Center, where they beat the Clippers in three consecutive games of the first round, and have beaten the Warriors twice this season. The Blazers have a chance to make a statement tonight.
