TV Schedule and Online Streaming: Warriors vs. Blazers, 2016 NBA Playoffs Game 3

New, comments

The Blazers try to stay in the series and avoid an insurmountable deficit against the NBA Champs.

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

The Portland Trail Blazers and Golden State Warriors tip off Saturday evening in the Game 3 of the 2016 NBA Playoffs second round. The first two games have been an exercise in futility for the Blazers.

In the first game, the Blazers never challenged, as Golden State established a 10-point lead in the opening minutes and never looked back. Portland lost by 12, but only due to points in garbage time.

In the second game, the Blazers definitely challenged, taking a lead as large as 17 points. But Golden State picked up their game at both ends during the fourth quarter, demolishing the Blazers to take a 2-0 series lead.

No team has ever recovered from a 0-3 series deficit, and this year's Golden State Warriors, even without NBA MVP Stephen Curry, doesn't seem to be a likely victim. They didn't lose two in a row all season, let alone four.

However, the Blazers return to Moda Center, where they beat the Clippers in three consecutive games of the first round. Saturday is their only chance for hope.
