Adrian Wojnarowski of TheVertical is reporting that Terry Stotts and the Portland Trail Blazers have reached an agreement on a contract extension.

As Wojnarowski mentions, the team has an option to retain Stotts through the 2016-17 season on his current contract, which they will evidently do as part of this extension.

ESPN's Kevin Arnovitz adds that the average yearly salary of the extension will be $5 million.

Stotts has accumulated a 182-146 record with the Blazers in 4 seasons, 11-16 in the post-season. He was the runner up for the NBA's Coach of the Year Award in 2016 and guided his team to the second round of the Western Conference Playoffs.
