Gery Woelfel of the Racine Journal Times reported an unexpected rumor coming from the NBA executives at the Draft Combine: That a Blazer contract renewal of Terry Stotts may not be as obvious as expected.
Scuttlebutt at NBA Combine in Chicago is that Terry Stotts returning to coach the Blazers isn't a slam dunk.Should know, though, in few days

After the season, news broke that the Blazers and Stotts had started negotiations on a new contract. The Blazers' players have openly expressed their support for Stotts, and even LeBron James recently said he felt Stotts was deserving of the Coach of the Year award.
The Trail Blazers hold a team option for next season. They have the options of negotiating an extension with Stotts, exercising the existing option just for next season, or releasing him from his contract.
