Paul Pierce Contemplates Retirement After First Round Loss

Despite a 2-0 series lead, the Clippers lost to the Blazers 2-4 in the first round of the 2016 NBA Playoffs.

Ten time NBA All-Star, former NBA champion, and 18-season veteran Paul Pierce is contemplating retirement after the Los Angeles Clippers’ first round loss to the Portland Trail Blazers, according to Arash Markazi of ESPN.

Paul, now 38 years old, has played in 28 playoff series over the course of his illustrious career, winning with the Boston Celtics in 2008. He has two seasons left on his contract with the Clippers, but may have walked off the court for the final time. His role in the Clippers’ post season was uncharacteristically minimal, playing just 10.8 minutes per game despite injuries to star players Blake Griffin and Chris Paul.
