Former Trail Blazer Earl Watson Named Suns Head Coach

Adrian Wojnarwoski reports that the long-tenured guard has a new gig.

Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical tweets that former Portland Trail Blazers guard Earl Watson will become the head coach of the Phoenix Suns.

Watson's NBA career spanned from 2001-2014. He played for seven different teams, including the Trail Blazers in 2013-14, his final season in the league.

Watson took over for former Suns coach Jeff Hornacek during the 50th game of the 2015-16 season after Hornacek was dismissed. Phoenix earned a 23-59 record overall; 9 wins and 24 losses during Watson's tenure.
