The Portland Trail Blazers are on a long list of teams who will be interested in Dallas Mavericks small forward Chandler Parsons, per ESPN.com's Tim McMahon. Parsons is expected to opt out of the final year of the three-year, $46 million contract he signed in the summer of 2014.
The list of teams interested in Parsons will be long, with sources expecting the Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks, Portland Trail Blazers, Houston Rockets, Denver Nuggets and Magic to be among Parsons' suitors. If Durant leaves Oklahoma City, add the Thunder to the list, with a potential reunion with Parsons' coach at Florida, Billy Donovan.
According to McMahon, Parsons is expected to command a max contract and is almost certain to opt out due to the expected salary cap increase. Mavs owner Mark Cuban is adamant that he is committed to Parsons as a building block going forward and will do all he can to keep him in Dallas.
