Marc Stein of ESPN reports that the New Orleans Pelicans are preparing to sign former Portland Trail Blazers guard Tim Frazier to a 10-day contract.
ESPN sources say New Orleans is poised to add guard Tim Frazier to its roster on a 10-day callup from the @nbadleague.

Frazier was waived by the Blazers on February 18 in order to make room for Anderson Varejao. Upon release, Frazier rejoined the Maine Red Claws of the NBA D-League. Through eight games with the Red Claws this season, Frazier averaged 15.0 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 9.6 assists per game.
The Pelicans, who have struggled to find consistency in their guard rotation all season, are the first NBA team to give him another shot. They will host the Blazers on March 18.
