Trevor Ariza has been an enemy of Blazer fans since the days of Rudy Fernandez. But tonight Damian Lillard exacted a little bit of revenge for the past wrongs perpetrated by the Rockets forward. Late in the first quarter Ariza matched up with Lillard on the perimeter, and Dame pulled out a move so nasty it made Ariza look like Dirk Nowitzki trying to guard CJ McCollum.
Lillard has also been hot from deep lately, averaging nearly five three pointers per game since Feb. 8. At times, it's felt like he'll never miss again. But tonight Lillard apparently decided to share his three-point magic with Moe Harkless:
Harkless' buzzer beater sparked a 21-9 Blazer run to start the second quarter. They led the Rockets by as many as 18 and headed to the locker room at the half with a 64-49 advantage. Lillard tops the Blazers with 12 points while Harkless has chipped in seven. Check back with Blazer's Edge later tonight for full coverage of the tonight's Blazers vs. Rockets contest!
