After 9 days of rest, the nicely-rested Portland Trail Blazers are back in action. They reach the stretch run in a position that nearly no analysts predicted before the season: playoff contenders. Currently in the seventh seed (cemented by Utah's loss last night), the Blazers have 28 games to show they're worthy of a playoff spot. However, there's bad news: Even if they do make the playoffs, they may yet again be playing the team they'll see tonight.
There's no need to preview the Golden State Warriors. The most dominant NBA team since at least the 1996 Chicago Bulls, the Warriors have toyed with the league all season. They arrive in Portland rested and ready to make history during the stretch run, as they try to break the Bulls' wins record. For more analysis about the Warriors, visit Eric Griffith's preview from last month, because nothing has changed. They're still dominant, and they laughed at the need for a trade deadline.
For the Blazers, this is their first game without backup PG Tim Frazier (waived as part of the trade deadline), and the arrival of new backup PG Brian Roberts. Roberts, a respected player in the league, will be active tonight according to Terry Stotts in his pregame press conference.

To call the Blazers and underdog would be an understatement. Can they pull off a major upset?
