Blazers to win more games than Vegas odds and I'm here to apologize

I picked Portland to finish slightly higher than their Vegas win total and I'm completely wrong so here's an apology to you guys.

Craig Mitchelldyer-USA TODAY Sports

The Portland Trail Blazers were slated to win 27 games by Vegas at the start of the 2015-16 NBA season. I picked them to win 28-35 games, which I thought was optimistic.

A friendly reminder that sometimes the "experts" aren't to be trusted.

Yes, even me.

So I decided to apologize to you, Portland, in the form of a video.

Really, how was I to know the Blazers would reach their season win estimate by the All-Star Game?

To know how good of a coach Terry Stotts really was?

How Damian Lillard would continue to produce despite the increased weight of the team on his shoulders?

That CJ McCollum would produce so well as a starter?

If Allen Crabbe was a dud or a $10+ million per season player?

That Neil Olshey didn't trade for Mason Plumlee just so he could live out a modern day "Parent Trap" situation with Meyers Leonard?

I'm forever a pessimist, especially when it comes to the hometown team. I try to stray from rooting for with reckless abandon in public, and that attitude usually gives me the ability to see the Trail Blazers for who they really are.

Please take this apology to heart. I'd say Go Blazers but I don't think they need my help.
