CJ McCollum Last Minute Addition to Three-Point Contest

With Chris Bosh unable to participate due to a strained calf, CJ McCollum has been added to the list of three-point contest participants.

Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports

The NBA announced that CJ McCollum has been added to the Foot Locker Three-Point contest at NBA All-Star weekend in Toronto. McCollum will replace Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh who has been sidelined with a strained calf.

McCollum was already in town as part of All-Star weekend to compete in the Skills Challenge, and the addition to the three-point contest presents him with a unique opportunity.

He becomes the eighth Trail Blazer in franchise history to compete in the Three-Point Contest, joining Kiki Vandeweghe (1987), Danny Ainge (1991), Clyde Drexler (1991), Terry Porter (1991, 1993), Cliff Robinson (1996), Damian Lillard (2014) and Wesley Matthews (2015). No Portland player has ever won the event.

All-Star weekend kicks off on Saturday February 12th at 5:30 PM PST live on TNT.
