Allen Crabbe Getting Noticed Ahead Of 2016 Free Agency

Bobby Marks lists Allen Crabbe as a "free agent on teams' July wishlists."

Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

Amidst a breakout year, Blazers backup shooting guard Allen Crabbe is drawing plenty of attention around the NBA, especially as his status as a restricted free agent looms this upcoming offseason.

In his third season out of California, Crabbe has increased his minutes from 13.4 per game in 2014-15 to over 26 per game and has used that extra playing time to up his scoring average to 11.2 points from just 3.3 points.

Per Bobby Marks of Yahoo! Sports:

The restricted free agent has had a breakout year for the young Trail Blazers. The 23-year-old has seen his minutes double from last year and has been a key rotational player for Portland. Once thought of as a developmental project, he's now turned into a possible Sixth Man of the Year candidate.

Marks also points out that the Blazers will have Crabbe's Bird rights, allowing them exceed cap if needed to match any offers Crabbe receives.
