It appears that at least one Portland Trail Blazer will have some comedy fun during a season that has been anything but funny thus far.
Portlandia, a sketch comedy program produced by Lorne Michaels, Fred Armisen, and Carrie Brownstein, based in the greater Portland area, will once again be feature a member of the team.
In the newest season preview, Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard appears with Brownstein for a set of presumably wacky hijinks.
This is not the first time a Trail Blazer has appeared on the program. Members of the 2014-2015 squad were on the fourth season of the show when two of Armisen and Brownstein’s portrayed characters interacted with team owner Paul Allen and the Blazers Dancers.
Former Trail Blazer LaMarcus Aldridge has also appeared individually in the recurring feminist bookstore sketch.
The show, which appears on IFC, has won multiple Primetime Emmy awards, mostly for costume design, though they have several “Best Writing” nominations in the Variety, Music, or Comedy Program category.
