Damian Lillard: “This S*** is Ridiculous”

Damian Lillard didn’t mince words after the Trail Blazers got blown out by 45 points at the hands of the Warriors.

Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum, and the rest of the Trail Blazers didn’t pull punches when asked about last night’s 135-90 blowout loss to the Golden State Warriors in Oakland.

“This s*** is ridiculous,” said Lillard, according to ESPN’s Chris Haynes. “This isn't about what the coaches are doing, this is on us. We have to take responsibility for what's going on.”

Trail Blazers guards C.J. McCollum and Allen Crabbe weren’t shy about last night’s drubbing, either.

“This is unacceptable, no matter who you're playing against, champions or not,” said McCollum.

“Honestly, there are really no words for it,” Crabbe added. “We've got to get it together. It was a 40-point loss. That's embarrassing right there.”

It wasn’t the first time Portland players spoke out against their poor play: Lillard said of the team, “we kind of suck right now” after being dismantled 126-109 by the Houston Rockets in November.

Last night’s comments are prompted by a disappointing season where the Trail Blazers find themselves 13-16, tied in the loss column with the Nuggets and Kings, in danger of falling out of the early playoff picture. With Festus Ezeli reportedly considering season-ending knee surgery, the Trail Blazers will have to look elsewhere for reinforcements to their widely-criticized defense.
