Is It Time For the Trail Blazers to Panic?

Poor defense, no rebounding, and underwhelming free agents have burdened Portland.

Things are not going well for the Portland Trail Blazers.

The team is porous on defense, inept at rebounding, and major signings outside of Maurice Harkless have been graded anywhere from incomplete to a C- as we approach midterm grades a quarter of the way through the season.

Now, fans are starting to ask a serious question: Should the Blazers be panicking? Should they be concerned? How should you feel as fans of a team that was expected to catapult off of unexpected success just a season ago?

It’s an important consideration, and the main topic of this week’s video Q & A session as we get into the nitty gritty.

Topics include:

  • Whether fans in Portland should be concerned about the direction of the team.
  • If a Nerlens Noel trade from the Philadelphia 76ers makes sense for anyone.
  • Which former or current Blazer player I would pick to trade places with.

If you want to have your question answered for the next Q & A session, you can do so in the comment section below, on Twitter, or on Facebook.

I am also taking inquiries about some of the play breakdowns you would like to see now that we have a significant portion of the season to use as video reference. Anything outside the defense (please!) that you’d be curious to hear me diagram on the Blazers? Drop me a line in the comment section.

I’m also the new co-host of Locked on Blazers with fellow Marion County product and BE writer Erik Gundersen, so check us out on iTunes during your Christmastime road trip to that one aunt’s house that smells like wet dog even though she has no pets.

See you next week with the first breakdown of the year!
